DISCOVERING NOSY BE AND ITS ISLANDS

Day 1: Antananarivo

Meet & greet at the airport by the Mada Hexagone team and transfer to your hotel. Bed and breakfast at the Orchid Hotel.

Day 2: Antananarivo – Nosy Be

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Nosy Be. Meet upon arrival and transfer to your hotel. After the formalities, depart to visit the town of Nosy Be by car.

The first stop is the Dzamandzar SIRAMA sugar factory (open since 1920). Hell-Ville is the capital of Nosy Be, known for its colonial buildings and its embroidered tablecloth market, a specialty of the island. Continue to the spice market with stalls selling crabs, tropical fruits, vegetables, and more. Then visit the port and enjoy free time for shopping.

Depart south to discover the sacred banyan trees, coffee fields, pepper plantations, and fruit trees, especially ylang-ylang. Lunch will be served before visiting the botanical gardens, museum, and distillery.

Before ending the day, we visit Mont Passot, offering an unmatched 360° panoramic view over the island and its volcanic lakes. Enjoy a cocktail while watching a sunset worthy of the most beautiful postcards. After the tour, return to the hotel.

Day 3: Visit the Islands of Nosy Komba and Nosy Tanikely

After breakfast, depart to visit Nosy Komba. We will visit the Lemur Park, the fishing village, and see traditional canoes. Continue to Nosy Tanikely, a protected natural marine reserve.

Fins, masks, and snorkels will be provided so you can discover magnificent coral reefs, anemones, colorful fish, shellfish, groupers, moray eels, and sea turtles. After the excursion, return in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel.

Day 4: Visit to the Island Nosy Iranja

After breakfast, depart for Nosy Iranja, located about one and a half hours by boat from Nosy Be. Upon arrival, discover the Iranja lighthouse, the local school, and the fishermen’s village.

Walk along the white sandbank stretching about a mile to Nosy Iranja Kely, visible at low tide and covered at high tide. There is an opportunity for snorkeling or relaxing on the paradise beach. Picnic lunch on the beach before returning to Nosy Be, with a stop at the pristine island of Antsoa between Iranja and Nosy Be. Return to the port and transfer to your hotel.

Day 5: The Lokobe Reserve

After breakfast, depart to visit Lokobe Reserve, the last primary forest of Nosy Be. Transfer by car to the village of Ambatozavavy, then board a traditional canoe through the mangroves to reach the reserve.

Here you will find many medicinal plants, endemic species, and ancient trees. Together we will discover lemurs, reptiles, chameleons, insects, and tropical birds. After the tour, return to the hotel.

Day 6: Nosy Be – Antananarivo

Stay at Andilana Beach, where you can enjoy many free activities while waiting for your flight to Antananarivo.

Day 7: Antananarivo

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Antananarivo. Upon arrival, enjoy a visit to discover the historic old city.

Start with a splendid panoramic view of the city, then see from a distance the Queen’s Palace (currently under renovation), the former Palace of Justice, and Andafiavaratra Palace, which houses objects saved from the fire that destroyed the Queen’s Palace in 1995.

Andohalo Square is the oldest public square in Antananarivo. Transfer to your hotel. After dinner, transfer to the airport for your international flight.
