ANKADEMOKY
Day 1 : Antananarivo-Tulear
Transfer to Ivato airport, flight to Tulear. In Tulear meet and transfer by car to Ranohira. Check-in at the hotel, dinner, and overnight.
Day 2 : Ranohira - Ambovo
Departure by car on a track along the eastern part of the Isalo massif to Tamentsoa village. Arrived in the village, we begin to walk across the massive from East to West. We set up our first camp at Ambovo "a place that overlooks a large part of the massif. Overnight camping.
Day 3 : Ambovo - Sahanafa
Start the walk early in the morning with a descent to the valley of Ankotrakotraka, to the Portuguese cave. This cave was used as a refuge for shipwrecked Portuguese centuries ago. Picnic lunch in the cave then continue until the forest of Sahanafa to see the lemurs and night in tents.
Day 4 : Sahanafa - Ankademoky
Continue to walk to Ankademoky. We now walk in the western part of the park. We go through many deep canyons. The songs of the team carry us slowly while walking on the large savannah. Installing the camp at night beside a river. Overnight in tents.
Day 5 : Ankademoky - Sakamalio
Today we have a half-day walk to Sakamalio, get there early afternoon and we will rest the remains of the day, do some laundry, and bathe in the river. Overnight in tents.
Day 6: Sakamalio - Natural Pool
Last day of walking on sandstone mountains and savannah. We will reach the natural pool in the afternoon. Setting up camp, bathing in the natural pool. Overnight camping in an arranged campsite.
Day 7 : Natural Pool - Tulear - Antananarivo
We walk for 1h30mn to get out to the car park and then the road to Tulear. At Tulear, transfer to the airport, and flight to Antananarivo.
