Nosy Tanikely
Day 1: Nosy Tanikely and Baie des Russes
Welcome at Nosy Be airport or at your hotel, followed by a transfer to Port du Cratère.
Embark on board and meet the crew. We weigh anchor on this first day to reach the marine reserve of Nosy Tanikely. We offer an easy introductory dive in the heart of the reserve, where rich fauna and flora can be observed.
Day 2: The Sugarloaf and Baramahamay
Head west towards Sugarloaf after about one hour of navigation. This site hosts shoals of unicorn fish, triggerfish, parrotfish, pelagic jacks, and often mobula rays or stingrays. The dive ends on a beautiful coral plateau.
Day 3: Introduction to Îles Radama
Continue south and stop at “Tombant Black”, a marine slope surrounded by sandbanks where whitetip sharks, moray eels, Napoleon fish, and others are often seen.
After the dive, continue towards the first of the Îles Radama: Kalakajoro.
Anchorage along a beach lined with filaos trees. Sail to “Greg’s Wall”, one of the most famous diving spots in the Radamas.
Day 5: Reef Drop-off of Radama
“Le Cyclone” dive: a vertical drop-off with several faults and a fish-filled arch. Beautiful, colorful light effects appear due to the special relief of the seabed.
Pelagic species and many kinds of fish can be seen — divers are rarely disappointed.
Second dive at “Ouest de Kalakajoro”, a reef drop-off with a wide coral plateau between 12 and 15 meters, attracting large schools of fish. Eels and sometimes leopard sharks or stingrays can be observed on sandy patches.
Day 6: Nosy Iranja
Dive at “La Vallée aux Poissons”, a gentle slope drop-off with an S-shaped sandy channel that we follow with the current.
Marine life is very diverse here because the site lies at the edge of a huge plateau and the water is very clear: moray eels, turtles, rays, tuna, and mackerel can be seen.
Second dive at “La Roche à Gaby”. Depending on the tide, there are many site options near Nosy Iranja: dogtooth tuna, stingrays, whitetip sharks, many kinds of grouper, Napoleon fish, hawksbill turtles, and green turtles.
We stay in Iranja or Baramahamay, depending on the weather.
Day 7: Iranja and Nosy Sakatia
Short sail to reach “Sud Canyon”, close to Iranja.
Lunch on board, then with the west wind (Talio blow), we sail towards Nosy Sakatia after about five hours.
Nosy Sakatia is famous for its wild orchids and botanical trails.
Day 8: Nosy Sakatia and Nosy Be
Walk on Nosy Sakatia.
No dives are planned on the last day because divers may be flying the same day. Instead, we visit the island and snorkel around the coral blocks before weighing anchor and returning to Nosy Be.
