Baobab Tour

Day 1: FLY FROM TANA OR Tulear TO Morondava, THEN 4WD TO CAMP AMOUREUX PARK

Fly from Antananarivo or Tulear to Morondava. Upon arrival, meet our driver and assistance guide at Morondava Airport, then drive to Marofandilia, where Camp Amoureux Reserve is located. The journey takes about 2 hours on a dirt road.

After 20 km from Morondava, stop at the Avenue of the Baobabs to take as many photographs as you wish. Then continue to Camp Amoureux Reserve. A night walk can be organized here if you are not too tired.

Overnight in an English-style large tent (bed and breakfast included).

Day 2: CAMP AMOUREUX RESERVE – BELO SUR TSIRIBIHINA – BEKOPAKA

After breakfast, you and your personal guide will walk through the forest to see endemic wildlife, including species of lemurs, birds, and reptiles.

Return to the vehicle and drive toward Bekopaka village, where the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park is located. You will need to cross a ferry with your jeep to reach Belo sur Tsiribihina.

After a break in Belo sur Tsiribihina, continue to Bekopaka on another 90 km of dusty road. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax while enjoying the breeze and natural surroundings. This is an adventure trip, and the journey can be quite rough.

Day 3: TREKKING IN THE GRAND TSINGY WITH YOUR LOCAL GUIDE

After an early breakfast, drive to the Grand Tsingy's starting point. This is probably the most rewarding excursion in the park, as it leads deep into the limestone forest and across several suspension bridges with impressive karst formations beneath your feet.

You will enjoy breathtaking landscapes unlike anywhere else. The trail is not technically difficult, and even children can manage it, but it is not suitable for those with vertigo. Looking down from the bridges can be intimidating for some visitors.

Day 4: BEKOPAKA – MORONDAVA

After breakfast, visit the Manambolo River by pirogue to observe fish eagles and explore a cave filled with stalactites and stalagmites. This visit lasts about one hour.

Afterward, return to the vehicle and drive back to Morondava. Stop in Belo sur Tsiribihina for lunch, then continue the journey. On the way, stop again at the Baobab Avenue at sunset — the best time to see the trees as their colors shift and their shadows stretch across the landscape.

Arrive in Morondava and relax for the rest of the day.
